Alex Litwak | MA
Alex started her dance training at the age of two at Cathy Taylor School of Dance in Auburn, MA, where she competitively danced until the age of thirteen. After a year of recovery from a broken foot, she began dancing again at various studios in her hometown. Alex continued dancing at Bridgewater State University, where she minored in dance. She was a member of the Kinetic Edge Hip-Hop Team, Dance Ensemble, and Dance Company, for which she held the position of President and Vice President. While at BSU, Alex received a prestigious grant where she combined dance and biology, creating a piece called "Dance with DNA." Alex currently is a flight attendant for a major US airline and dreams of qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
Amber Magin | RI
Amber Magin | RI
Amber grew up in Greenfield, MA, and now lives in Providence, RI. She began dancing at the age of eight with Pizazz Dance Studio. She later joined the Pizazz competition team where she competed regionally for four years. Amber danced in college with the Framingham State Dance Team, where she had the opportunity to create, teach, and perform original choreography. She has been trained in various genres, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip-Hop. Her favorite style is contemporary. After graduating with a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education in 2019, she currently teaches 4th grade at a charter school in New Bedford, MA. Amber appreciates that Kinetic Synergy has given her an outlet to continue her passion for dance!
Brittany Croston | RI
Brittany began her dance education at the age of two in Portsmouth, RI under Leslie Boskovich Zeile. She was invited to perform with the Steppin’ Out Dance Studio’s competition team at age six, where she stayed until transferring to the Stage Door Dance Studio competition team a few years later. Brittany also trained with Newport Academy of Ballet for a period of time, allowing for the opportunities to perform with the Island Moving Company’s junior company, the Nutcracker, and the 2011 season of Open for Dancing. She also furthered her ballet education through The Dance Academy in Fall River, MA, performing with Spindle City Ballet in their Nutcracker and competing in the Youth American Grand Prix in New York. At the age of 16, Brittany traveled to Boston to train for a summer with the Walnut Hill School for the Arts prestigious dance intensive. Upon graduating from high school, Brittany was rewarded with Manhattanville College’s dance scholarship, and traveled to New York to begin her degree. However, she has recently graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Brittany is excited to be with Kinetic Syngery Dance Company and expand her performance opportunities.
Britteny Hyslip | MA
Britteny is a native of Brockton, MA and grew up studying at a local dance studio. After high school, she expanded her dance knowledge through the Bachelors of Arts in dance program at Dean College in Franklin, MA, where she studied several techniques and was trained in various levels of dance composition and improvisation. Britteny has been a public school teacher for the city of Lawrence for 8 years; teaching ballet and hip hop for five years at Spark Academy as part of their physical education program, and currently as the lower school dance specialist at Lawrence High school. She is also the co-director of the Lawrence high school dance company, which travels the state of Massachusetts to educate and celebrate the cultures of Latinx dance. Outside of school, Britteny teaches tap and contemporary at Center Stage Performing Arts studio in Quincy MA.
Cara Lin | RI
Cara started dance at the age of six and danced at MOBA dance academy in New York City. She has received training from Jay Barrett and Natalie Mossa for the past ten years in ballet, lyrical, jazz, acrobatics, tap and contemporary. She was then accepted into the “Fame” school LaGuardia High School, where she studies ballet, Graham, and Horton technique. Cara has worked with choreographers including Desmond Richardson, KC Castellano, and Theresa Stone. She was also in a dance company Abstrakt Beings. A year ago she was a finalist for the New England Patriots cheerleaders. She is very excited to be a part of Kinetic Synergy and can’t wait to perform with all her peers.
Carling Brockman | RI
Carling began dancing at Steppin' Out Dance Studio in 1999 under the direction of Lisa Mailloux. She won the Steppin' Out "Love For Dance" Award and scholarship for one year at the studio in 2003. In 2009, Carling earned her BA in Dance from Dean College. With a Performing Arts Scholarship, she studied with respected teachers like Joan Palladino, Jill Silverman, Jean Wenzel, and Nailah Randall-Bellinger. She was also a member of Dean College's Hip-Hop Dance Troupe "Break The Silence". Currently, she is an ABA Therapist for children on the autism spectrum and/or with behavioral challenges. Additionally, Carling was a dance instructor for three years and performed as an alumni in several recitals for Steppin’ Out Dance Studio. Notably, Carling directed the James L. Maher Center's Holiday Show "Christmas in Sign" for three years. She now dances for Kinetic Synergy Dance Company. Carling currently resides in Fall River, MA.
Catherine Deangelo | MA
Catherine started as an apprentice in 2016 and is a company member and choreographer today. She is also Kinetic Synergy’s youngest dancer. She has danced 11 years with many competition awards including a regional title in tap and a national runner up in Hip hop. She has also been chosen for the national dance team 5 times. Catherine is looking forward to Choreographing 3 dances in 2021 in both the Rhode Island and Massachusetts Companies.
Chelsea Cousineau | MA
Chelsea spent her early years training in dance and performance in various towns and cities throughout southern Massachusetts. Chelsea attended Bridgewater State University for dance education, where she had the opportunity to work with the Anna Sokolow Dance Company and study Bharata Natyam under Kausalya Srinivasan. She served both as Public Relations and as President for the BSU Dance Company during her years there, danced in thirteen performances on the main stage, and choreographed over fifteen pieces for the Dance Company. After university, she worked with children's theaters and competitive show choirs as an instructor and choreographer, and at local studios in the area teaching various styles. In 2015, Chelsea had the opportunity to be the guest teacher for the Emerson College Dance Company and work as the Dance Counselor at a camp for international students from Thailand, China and Australia. Chelsea currently is a Dance Specialist at Boston Renaissance Public Charter School in Boston, MA and an instructor at Pirouette Dance Academy out of Fall River, MA. She is happy to continue her dance journey with KSDC!
Elyse Schiavi | MA
Elyse is a graduate of Bridgewater State University with a bachelor's in dance education. She has studied dance for over twenty years and continues to learn and discover different genres of dance. She has studied various techniques including hip-hop, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, tap, modern, ballroom, and creative dance. She was chosen to choreograph for several performances while in college. Alongside the dance program, Elyse served as President of Kinetic Edge Hip-Hop team and was a member of the Dance Ensemble. After many years of dancing, Elyse has found her true passion in teaching and hopes to share her knowledge and love for dance with her students. She is currently teaching at Dance with Spirit in Canton, MA.
Erika LaPierre | MA
Erika LaPierre is a resident of Quincy, Massachusetts and a graduate of Quincy High School. She started her dance career at the age of three taking classes at Center Stage Performing Arts Studio. She recently graduated from Dean College with a BA in Dance with a concentration in Dance Education/ Teaching. Erika has trained in multiple genres of dance including: tap, ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, contemporary,and pointe. During her time at Dean, she completed an independent study under Joan Phelps Palladino, and wrote a book about the benefits of movement on the early life and education of children. She also had the pleasure of studying under award winning tap master William “Bill” Evans, while performing his choreography in numerous showcases. Erika is currently working full time as a patient service specialist at ATI Physical Therapy, and teaches dance at her home studio, Center Stage
Heather Bourgeois | MA
Heather grew up dancing in a local studio studying all styles of dance. She attended Plymouth State University where she studied early childhood education, minored in dance, and was a member of the contemporary dance ensemble for all four years. She continued her education at Temple University, completing her master's in dance education. While in Philadelphia, she was a member of ECEDancecohesion, a member of Merge Performing company, and performed throughout the city with her site specific company OutofSITE. After moving back to New Hampshire, she performed with DanceWorks Boston for four seasons, including a performance at the Patriots' season home opener in 2015. During the week, Heather is a full-time pre-k teacher for Headstart and also teaches students age five to adult the art of dance. She is looking forward to continuing her dance journey with KSDC!!
Isabel Kelley | MA
Isabel grew up in Quincy and began dance and gymnastics at Young World at the age of 3. When her first studio closed, she moved to Velocity Dance Studio, where she discovered her passion and love for dance with the help of the studio’s amazing teachers. There, she joined the performance team and performed at many local gigs and competitions. She was also an assistant and substitute teacher at the studio.
Isabel began gymnastics at Ellis School of Gymnastics in Braintree when she was 7, and started teaching bars and beam in 2019, where she continues to work.
She now dances at Dance With Spirit in Canton. Isabel loves to teach and is hoping to pursue a career in dance/dance education in the near future.
Jayme Machado| RI
Jayme is from Fairhaven, MA where she began dancing at Kathy Medina’s Studio of Dance at the age of 2. While there she was on the competition team for 10 years. She is a graduate from Worcester State University with a B.S. in Biology. Jayme was a member of the dance team and a captain during her senior year. Now she is back in school to become a dental hygienist. She currently teaches at Supreme Perfection Studios where she gets to share her love of dance with her students. Jayme looks forward to another great season with KSDC!
Jenna Ingegneri | MA
Jenna started her dance education at The Dance Shop in Holbrook, MA at the age of three. She danced with this studio until graduation from Archbishop Williams High School. After high school, Jenna went on to graduate from Dean College. At Dean, Jenna had the opportunity to perform in several shows including the Hip Hop Team's show Synergy and the Dance Team's annual performances.
Jennifer Sylvia | MA
Jenn began dancing at age 4 and attended dance classes at Miss Kay’s School of Dance and Boss Academy of Performing Arts. In college, Jenn studied Theater Arts and Creative Expressions where she took several dance and movement courses. She has experience teaching hip hop, ballet, tap and creative movement dance classes to youth. With a passion for dance fitness, Jenn received her certification as a Zumba Instructor in 2015, and has recently become a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through the American Council on Exercise. She is very excited to be a new member of KSDC and is looking forward to growing as a dancer.
Jillian Brooks-Duval | RI
Jillian grew up dancing with Stage Door Dance Academy since the age of three and after seven years there she began to focus on theatre. In high school, Jillian picked up dancing again by joining the champion winning “Electrify” showchoir where she was dance captain for two years and a founding member and captain of the all-girls group "Amplified." After high school, Jillian went to Salve Regina University in the beautiful Newport, RI where she graduated with honors in May of 2020. While at Salve she was apart of the dance team and theatre company while holding a resident advisor position and part-time job as a party princess. During her last two years of college, she was given many opportunities to choreograph for the theatre department. Her favorite production was The Addams Family: The Musical which she choreographed and directed her senior year. In March of 2020, Jillian was accepted as a character performer for Walt Disney World. Sadly, COVID has affected her position and she is now home in MA with her family and friends but dreams of being back in Disney. In her off time, Jillian can be found in rehearsals for local theatrical productions and spending time outdoors. It is her first year with KSDC and she is so excited to get back on her feet!
Katharyn Burke| MA
Katharyn (Katie) Burke is from Chelsea, MA and is very excited to join KSDC as a dancer and choreographer for her first season. Katie began dancing at the age of 2. Over the years, she has studied many genres of dance at local dance studios. She continued her dance education when she minored in Dance at Emerson College, while studying for a BA in Visual Media Arts, and she graduated in 2013. At Emerson, Katie participated as a choreographer in XDance, Emerson's experimental dance show. Katie also graduated in 2012 from the Dance Teacher's Club of Boston/AS Dance Education Training Program, where she received the Pam Ferry Award for overall excellence in Ballet throughout three years of training and is now an active member of the Dance Teacher's Club of Boston. She currently teaches dance at the Beverly Richards Dance Center in East Boston.
Katlyn Giuliano| MA
Katlyn currently lives in Randolph, MA. She started dancing at the age of four at The Dance Shop in Holbrook, MA, where she studied until graduating from Blue Hills Regional Technical High School in 2010. In 2015, she graduated from the Joan Phelps Palladino School of Dance at Dean College in Franklin, MA with a B.A. in dance and a minor in theater. In addition to her dance curriculum, she gained experience working on the production side of performance through her involvement in many of the plays and musicals produced by the theater program. She is also an alumnus of the Disney College Program. She aspires to one day perform professionally on either a Broadway stage or in a Walt Disney theme park.
Keira Driscoll | MA
Keira has been dancing for over 25 years and, with KSDC since 2011. Growing up she took ballet at The Ellison Center in Duxbury, Massachusetts, and was a highly competitive gymnast for multiple gyms in the South Shore. Come high school, Keira attended a college prepatory school, Proctor Academy, in Andover, New Hampshire, and Graduated in 2006. At Proctor, Keira studied under Barbara Winslow, and Julie Larsen. As a sophomore, Keira persuaded her school's faculty to change the athletic credit system to include Dance and as a senior, won the Excellence in Dance Award. Keira attended and graduated from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey and graduated in 2010 with degrees in Psychology, with concentrations in Early Childhood Education, and Special Education, and Dance Choreography and Performance. At Drew Keira studied under Cheryl Clark. Keira has taught dance in multiple schools systems, and dance studios in Massachusetts over the years. Since 2015, she has been the Director of The Little Gym of Boston at Waverley Oaks, a children's gymnastics facility for kids ages 4 months to 12 years. Keira looks forward to every season is it KSDC, and has been so proud of how we have grown over the years!
When Keira is not dancing KSDC in her free time, she can be found taking long walks with her puppy, Sox!
Kristen Kelly | RI
Kristen grew up dancing at Janet Keaney's School of Dancing in Westwood, MA. While in high school she was a member of Janet Keaney's Dance Company. After high school, Kristen went to Keene State College and graduated with a BA in Theater and Dance. In college, she focused on modern and dance education. While in college, she created a piece that was presented in the Showcase, and helped run an after school dance program for local elementary schools. Kristen became a certified yoga teacher in 2019 and is currently attending MCPHS for her master's in acupuncture and oriental medicine.
Kristin Conway | RI
Kristin has been dancing for over twenty years. Growing up, she danced as much as she could in various styles, and was part of a local studios competition team. After high school, she continued her love of dance at Springfield College where she majored in Dance. Kristin was an active member of the Springfield College Dancers, and was the President of the club during her senior year. While she was in Graduate School, Kristin became a dance teacher for a Park and Recreation Program in Connecticut. Kristin did take some time off from dance, but has recently decided to start dancing again. This is her first year with KSDC and is very excited to see what this year brings.
Lauren Coyne, Director | MA & RI
Lauren grew up studying dance for 12 years at Legein Dance Academy, in Rhode Island. Lauren is a graduate of Dean College and has a BA in Dance and Performing Arts. While attending Dean, Lauren was a member of the Dean College Dance Company, Dean College Dance Team and performed in each year’s musical productions. She was honored with two Dance Department Scholarships and Performance awards and was named to the Dean's List each semester. Lauren is also a 2004 graduate of the Dance Teacher's Club of Boston and has since has been on faculty with Art in Motion Dance Studio of North Kingston, RI, The Dance Studio of Easton, MA, and Dance Expressions RI of Middletown, RI. More recently, Lauren has choreographed for Suessical: The Musical, High School Musical, Rent: The Musical, Legally Blonde: The Musical, Shrek: The Musical and Cinderella.
Lucia Petruccelli | RI
Lucia (she/her) started her dance career with the nationally recognized Leggz Ltd. Studio in New York at the age of three. During her time there she performed as a part of the ensemble in several recitals, charity events, news features, The Nutcracker Ballet and at Walt Disney World. She later joined local studios on Long Island and continued her training in ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz and tap. Lucia continued her passion for dancing as the President of the Roger Williams University Dance Club in Rhode Island where she choreographed various contemporary, hip-hop, and jazz pieces and performed in up to eight dances a semester. She also showcased her talent for other campus events such as the Hawkettes Benefit Show, Midnight
Madness and Autumn Fest. Lucia is thrilled to dance as a member of the KSD RI company for another season and continue to develop her talents even further!
Mackenzie Shea | MA
Mackenzie has been dancing since the age of three. She received her dance education from A Dancers' World in Halifax, MA. She was also a member of their competition team. She attended the Dance Education Training Course and received her Teaching Certificate in 2011. Mackenzie attended Stonehill College and was a member of their Dance Team for all four years. She competed with the team at Nationals each year in Daytona Beach. Her senior year the team was awarded fourth place in the nation for Division II, the highest Stonehill has ever scored. While at Stonehill, she was also a member of their Dance Company. Mackenzie is very excited to continue her love of dancing with KSDC.
Maddie Pizzuti | RI
Maddie grew up in Cranston, RI and started dancing at the age of 3 at To The Pointe of Performing Arts in Cranston, RI. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary. In high school, she was apart of the teacher training program, where she learned to teach her own dance classes for students ages 18 months-15. Maddie attended Roger Williams University and graduated in 2019 with a BA in Elementary Education and a minor in Dance Performance Studies. She was apart of the RWU Dance Club for all four years of college, eventually becoming Vice President during her senior year. She danced in up to 8 pieces a semester and choreographed hip hop and jazz pieces for the club. Maddie is currently a second grade teacher in Cranston, RI and loves to share her love of dance with her students. She also teaches tap, jazz and hip hop at To The Pointe of Performing Arts. Maddie is so excited to be continuing pursuing her love of dance with KSDC and is looking forward to a great first season!
Melanie Campbell | MA
Melanie is a graduate of Endicott College with a bachelor's degree in graphic design and a minor in dance. She began dancing at a local studio at the age of six and has continued dancing ever since. She has studied many genres of dance including ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, and hip-hop. While at Endicott, Melanie performed with the Dance Ensemble in over six shows and was a member of the dance team during her freshman and sophomore year. She also worked with local choreographers to learn dances for the Dance Ensemble shows, performed each fall and spring season. Melanie is looking forward to dancing with KSDC this season!
Samantha Charette | MA
Samantha is from Manchester, CT where she began her dance training at the age of two. After studying a variety of dance styles and competing, she went on to pursue dance at Dean College. Throughout her time at Dean, she had the opportunity to perform in a variety of shows before receiving her B.A. in dance in May 2010. Upon leaving Dean, she went on to fulfill a childhood dream of working in Disney, where she worked as a character performer and was featured as a Cosmic Ray Elf during the Christmas season. Samantha first joined KSDC in the fall of 2011. Currently, Samantha resides in Connecticut where she is a Recreation Supervisor for a local parks and recreation department and holds her M.S. in Recreation and Leisure Studies from Southern Connecticut State University . When she’s not working or dancing, she enjoys spending time with her husband and traveling...especially to Disney!
Sara Goodman | MA
Sara currently lives in Westborough, MA, and has been dancing for 17 years. She started her training at Charlotte Klein Dance Centers in Westborough, MA and recently completed her B.A. in Dance Performance and Education with a minor in Jewish Studies from Muhlenberg College. While at Muhlenberg, Sara danced in many formal and informal concerts and had the opportunity to work with faculty choreographers Marcie Mamura and Randall Anthony Smith. Sara recently trained with BCDP Global during their Virtual Summer 2020 season as an Ambassador where she danced in two virtual performances and worked on graphic design for the company. Currently, Sara is teaching at Little Beats of The Dance Academy in Newton, MA while completing her M.ED in Arts, Community and Education at Lesley University. Sara is very excited to be joining Kinetic Synergy this season.
Sara Kenyon | MA
Sara is from Gloucester MA and has been dancing for over 15 years. She graduated from Endicott College in 2018 and is currently working on her MBA at Endicott’s Van Loan School of Professional Studies. She started dancing at the age of 4 at Mrs. Tina’s Studio of Dance and then went on to dance at Michelle Shaws Elite Dance Centre on their senior competition team. Sara has studied multiple forms of dance and attended several competitions around the area up until her sophomore year of college. She has also had the opportunity to perform throughout New England and in events at Walt Disney World. Sara is entering her second season with KSDC and is excited to continue dancing and doing what she loves.
Sarah Sousa| RI
Sarah began dancing at the age of three at A Step Above Dance Academy in Somerset, MA where she trained in tap, jazz, ballet, and lyrical while also being a member of the competition team. She attended Framingham State University where she was a member of the Fusion dance team. There, she learned from other dancers as well as created several pieces of original choreography. In 2018 she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and is now excited to continue to pursue her love of dancing with Kinetic Synergy.
Sydney Grant | RI
Sydney is from Somerset, MA and started her dance training at Center Stage Dance Studio at the age of 3. Here she was part of the Senior Dance Team and began teaching throughout high school. Sydney became a member of the Framingham State University Dance Team and Fusion Dance Team in college where she performed at the Celtics and Providence Bruins. She served as the President for two years where she choreographed, ran the team, and produced showcases. Sydney has studied ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, modern, musical theater dance, and hip-hop throughout the years. After graduating with a B.A. in Communication Arts, Sydney began working in Social Media Marketing, teaches group fitness classes, and teaches dance at Coffey Dance Center in East Bridgewater, MA. She is so excited to be a part of KSDC and continue her passion for dance.
Veronica Midili | MA
Veronica grew up studying dance for ten years at the Country Academy of Dance in New York, learning technique in ballet, modern, pointe, jazz, tap and hip-hop. In middle school and high school she was also a member of the Linda Duci Dance Ensemble. During her undergraduate studies at Bridgewater State University, Veronica was affiliated with the dance company and took multiple classes to expand her knowledge. Currently, Veronica teaches dance at Dance with Spirit in Canton MA, where she educates children in creative movement and technique.
